During 1946 Scandinavia was the subject of a wave of “ghost rocket” sightings which received considerable attention from the military authorities but was never resolved. The only known photograph was taken on 9 July by Erik Reutersward and despite its limited quality was evaluated by investigators as probably depicting a daylight meteor.
