On 15 March 1963 [Andrija Puharich] had a form of UFO experience. After a bad day in New York city, he had, to use his own words, “crashed out” and awoke about 9.40 pm lying on his bed and looking out at the wintry, starry sky, he was suddenly confronted by a bright light. It was stationary and located over a hill about 300 yards from his apartment. The light was a steady blue-green in colour, the shape of a flattened egg and apparently the size of the full moon…
He describes feeling that this was a profound moment, that the light was very real, and that in some way it was “alive”. In keeping with many others who have had similar UFO experiences, he was apparently constrained from attempting to take a movie of the light. It was for him “a pure experience”, unlike anything that had ever happened to him before. Yet, all it seemed to be was a light and it remained where he had first seen it for some twenty minutes before it was suddenly extinguished. He waited for another hour in the hope that it would return, but it did not…
Throughout the time that Andrija [Puharich] and Uri [Geller] spent together, there were constant, recurring UFO sightings and events…
