Alleged crash retrieval

Raimo Blomqvist witnessed a UFO hovering near him above Kallavesi lake, Finland in August 1964.  The case became more interesting when, shortly before speeding off, the UFO dropped a small chunk of material into the lake’s edge.

Blomqvist retrieved it; analysis indicated that it was made out of iron oxide and trace elements.

At Akademi University, Professor Edelman x-rayed the object and determined it was not a geological entity, although it resembled materials that are found near the site of active volcanoes in certain sections of the world.  Turku University also examined the object and their Professor Papunen ruled out the possibility that it could be a meteor, at least of known composition, because of trace elements present which are not generally found in such objects.

In the end the findings were inconclusive, with many suggestions as to what it could not be, but none as to what it might have been.
